Our Opinion:

The Garmin GPS60 is all you need for most farm mapping jobs. If you are going to be doing a lot of mapping, you may want to consider a higher spec'd model that has more memory and is able to store more way-points. The other models also have higher sensitivity antennae for better reception around trees.

Our Opinion:

The Dakota 10 is a good map capable model with touch screen and high sensitivity antenna. Useful in the bush, but if you're going to be using it in conjunction with maps, you may wish to upgrade to the Dakota20 to receive the benefits of a three-axis electronic compass and barometric altimeter.

Our Opinion:

With everything that the Dakota 10 has plus more, this is a fantastic comapct unit for use on the farm or in the bush. The barometric altimeter will add accuracy when measuring differences in altitude.

Our Opinion:

The GPS60CSx is one of the most popular GPS units with hunters. With excellent satellite reception in the bush and the ability to load background maps, the 60CSx is a good solid unit. The barometric altimeter will give greater accuracy when measuring relative height differences.
