How do I import an aerial photograph?
To import an aerial photograph, it must have an accompanying "world file" (.jgw or .jpw for a JPEG, or .tfw for a TIFF). This world file tells WMC Map where on the earth surface the photo lies so that it lines up with any GPS points you may take. You should ask your aerial photography supplier for an "orthorectified aerial photograph" or contact us and we will be able to help you.
Can the latitude and longitude be displayed on the map?
The latitude and longitude, as well as easting and northing of the position directly below your mouse are displayed at the bottom of your screen. If you want to mark the latitude and longitude of a point on your map, you can create a text layer and type in the coordinates of the position by putting your mouse in that position and reading it from the bottom of the screen.
